Photo day is here!

Great job on getting everything ready! As you approach the morning of the photoshoot, here are some last-minute preparations you can consider:

1. Quick Walkthrough:

-Take a quick walkthrough of your home to ensure everything is in order and as you want it to be captured. Double-check for any overlooked clutter or items out of place.

2.  Final Clean-Up:

– Wipe down surfaces, countertops, and mirrors one last time to ensure everything is spotless. Watch for any stainless steel surface finger prints!

3. Check Lighting:

– Confirm that all lights are working and turned on in each room. Make sure there are no burnt-out bulbs.

4. Open Curtains and Blinds:

– Allow as much natural light as possible by opening curtains and blinds. Bright, well-lit spaces photograph better.

5. Remove Personal Items:

– Ensure that personal items like toothbrushes, shampoo, towels, and other personal care items are tucked away in bathrooms.

6. Hide Trash Bins:

– If possible, temporarily move trash bins (inside and outside) out of sight to create cleaner photos.

7. Adjust Furniture:

– Make final adjustments to furniture arrangements if needed. Ensure chairs and table settings are straight and aligned.

8. Fresh Flowers or Greenery:

– Consider adding a touch of fresh flowers or greenery to certain rooms for a lively and inviting atmosphere.

9. Pets:

– If you have pets, make arrangements to have them temporarily removed from the home during the photoshoot or please cage them. Check for any pet-related items that might have been missed and put them away (pet beds, cat scratching posts, litter boxes, pet toys, food bowls, etc.).

10. Turn Off Electronics:

– Turn off TVs, computer monitors, and any electronic devices to eliminate unnecessary glare in photos. If wires are showing, disconnect them and tuck them away

11. Secure Valuables:

– Put away any valuable or personal items that you wouldn’t want to be visible in the photos.

12. Exterior Touch-Ups:

– Quickly sweep the front porch, patio, or deck. Ensure that outdoor furniture is arranged neatly.

13. Final Check on Entryway:

– Confirm that the entryway is clear and welcoming. Check for any items like shoes or umbrellas that could be distracting.

14. Communication:

– If you have any specific requests or features you want the photographer to focus on, communicate them before the session begins.

15. Relax and Enjoy: SAY CHEESE:

– Take a moment to relax and appreciate the effort you’ve put into preparing your home. Trust in the professional skills of the photographer to capture your home in its best light.

By taking these last-minute steps, you’ll ensure that your home is photo-ready and poised to make a positive impression on potential buyers. Good luck with your photoshoot!
